HR Settings
HR Settings define the default payroll, attendance, overtime, and statutory rules used throughout the Human Resources module.
These settings are applied automatically to new employees unless overridden where applicable.
Note: New IsleBooks businesses are pre-configured using the current Maldives Civil Service defaults. You can modify these settings at any time to match your organization's HR policies.
Enabling the HR Module
The HR module can be enabled or disabled at any time.
Go to Settings → Business Settings → Modules.
Enable HR / Essentials.
Click Save Settings.
Once enabled, the HR menu becomes available.
Pay Period
Configure how employee salaries are calculated.
Cycle
Select the payroll cycle.
Examples include:
Monthly
Weekly
Bi-weekly
Anchor Day
For monthly payrolls, specify the day the pay period begins.
Example:
1 = Calendar month (1st to last day of the month)
Payroll Basis
Choose how employee working time is calculated.
Example:
Attendance (Clock Punches)
When attendance-based payroll is selected, salaries and overtime are calculated using employee attendance records.
Salary Calculation
Configure the default salary calculation rules.
Options include:
Salary Divisor
Days Per Month
Working Hours Per Day
Full-Day Hours
Half-Day Hours
Late Grace Period
These values determine:
Daily salary
Hourly salary
Minute rate
No-pay deductions
Attendance calculations
Overtime Settings
Configure the overtime multipliers used throughout the business.
Available settings include:
Workday Overtime Multiplier
Weekend Overtime Multiplier
Public Holiday Overtime Multiplier
Monthly Overtime Cap
You can also specify which weekdays are treated as weekends.
Individual weekend days may have their own overtime multipliers if required.
Statutory Contributions (MPRF)
IsleBooks supports statutory pension calculations.
Configure:
Enable or Disable MPRF
Employee Contribution Rate
Employer Contribution Rate
Pensionable Wage Ceiling
Pensionable Wage Components

Basic Salary
Allowances
These settings are automatically used when calculating payroll.
Default Settings
The values configured on this page act as the business defaults.
New employees inherit these settings automatically, while individual employee records can override them where supported.
Best Practices
Review the default HR settings before processing your first payroll.
Update overtime rates if they differ from your company's employment policies.
