INVOICE LAYOUT

Invoice Layouts

Invoice Layouts allow you to create and customize the appearance of printed invoices, receipts, quotations, and PDF invoices.

You can create multiple layouts and assign different templates to different business locations.

For example:

  • Retail Store

  • Wholesale

  • Restaurant

  • Hotel

  • Tax Invoice

  • Receipt

Each location can use its own invoice design.

Creating an Invoice Layout

  1. Go to Settings → Invoice Layouts.

  2. Complete the layout information.

  3. Click Add Layout.

General Settings

The Live Preview updates automatically as you make changes, allowing you to see how the invoice will appear before saving.

Logos & Letterheads

Invoice layouts support multiple branding options.

Business Logo

Uses the logo configured in your business settings.

Store Logo

Uses the logo assigned to the business location.

Custom Uploaded Logo

Upload a unique logo specifically for this invoice layout.

Letterhead

You may also upload a full-width letterhead image containing your business branding, address, registration details, or other information.

Letterheads replace the standard logo and business information at the top of the invoice.

Default Layout

Enable Default Layout for this Business to use the layout whenever a business location does not have its own assigned invoice template.

Assigning a Layout to a Business Location

After creating an invoice layout, you can assign it to one or more business locations.

  1. Go to Settings → Stores.

  2. Edit the desired store or business location.

  3. Select the preferred Invoice Layout.

  4. Save the changes.

From that point onward, invoices created from that location will use the selected layout.

This allows different stores, warehouses, restaurants, or hotel outlets to use different invoice designs.

Live Preview

The right side of the page displays a live invoice preview.

The preview updates automatically as you:

  • Change visible fields

  • Modify text

  • Switch logos

  • Upload a letterhead

  • Change paper size

This makes it easy to design invoices without repeatedly printing test copies.

Common Use Cases

You can create different invoice layouts for different purposes, such as:

  • Tax Invoice

  • Sales Receipt

  • Restaurant Bill

  • Hotel Invoice

  • Delivery Note

  • Wholesale Invoice

  • Proforma Invoice

Each business location can use the layout that best suits its operations.

Tips

  • Create separate invoice layouts for different business types or outlets.

  • Use Store Logos when each branch has its own branding.

  • Use Letterheads for professionally branded invoices.

  • Configure one layout as the default, then override it only for locations that require a different design.

  • Use the Live Preview to verify your layout before saving.
