BULK UPDATE PRODUCTS

Bulk Update Prices

The Bulk Update Prices feature allows you to quickly update the selling prices of multiple products and product variations using a single Excel file.

This is useful when adjusting prices due to supplier price changes, promotions, inflation, or seasonal pricing.

Note: Currently, only selling prices can be updated in bulk.

Updating Prices

  1. Go to Inventory → Products.

  2. Click Bulk Update Prices.

  3. Click Download Template.

The downloaded Excel file contains:

  • Product Name

  • SKU

  • Variation ID (if applicable)

  • Current Selling Price (Excluding Tax)

  • Current Selling Price (Including Tax)

  • Columns for entering new prices

Edit the Template

Open the downloaded Excel file and enter your new selling prices.

Guidelines:

  • Enter the new price in the New Price (Excl. Tax) or New Price (Incl. Tax) column.

  • Leave a row blank if you do not want to change that product's price.

  • Do not modify the Variation ID column, as it is used to identify each product or variation.

Note: If both the excluding-tax and including-tax price columns are completed, IsleBooks POS uses the Including Tax price.

Upload the Updated File

  1. Return to the Bulk Update Prices window.

  2. Click Choose File.

  3. Select the edited Excel file.

  4. Click Update Prices.

The system validates the file and updates the prices for all matching products and variations.

Supported Products

Bulk price updates support:

  • Single products

  • Variable products

  • Product variations

Each variation can have its own selling price.

Notes

  • Only selling prices are updated.

  • Purchase prices are not modified.

  • Existing products are matched using their Variation ID.

  • Rows with blank price fields are skipped and remain unchanged.

  • Invalid rows are reported so they can be corrected and imported again.

Current Limitation: Bulk Update currently supports selling prices only. Support for updating additional product information may be added in future releases.
