VARIATIONS

Product Variations

Product Variations allow you to sell different versions of the same product, such as different colors, sizes, flavors, materials, or designs, under a single product.

Each variation is treated as its own purchasable SKU and can have its own pricing and inventory.

Adding Variations

  1. Create or edit a Variable Product.

  2. Open the Variations tab.

  3. Click Add Variation.

  4. Enter the variation details.

For each variation, you can configure:

  • Variation Name (for example, Color, Size, Flavor)

  • Variation Value (for example, Red, Medium, Vanilla)

  • SKU

  • Purchase Price

  • Selling Price

  • Profit Margin

Each row represents a unique variation that can be purchased and sold independently.

Pricing by Pack Unit

If your product has bulk units (such as Case or Container), IsleBooks POS automatically calculates the selling price for each pack size based on the variation's unit price and multiplier.

You may override these calculated prices by entering a custom price for any pack unit.

For example:

Variation

Piece

Case (×24)

Container (×240)

Green

20.00

480.00

4,800.00

Purple

20.00

480.00

4,800.00

Leave the field blank to use the automatically calculated price.

Multiple Attributes

Products can have more than one attribute by adding multiple variation names.

Example

Value

Color

Red

Size

Large

Material

Cotton

Or, if you prefer, you can combine attributes into a single variation.

Example:

Name
