Managing Employee Leave Requests

Managers and HR administrators can review, approve, or reject employee leave requests from the Leave Requests page.

This provides a centralized view of all employee leave applications across the organization.

Viewing Leave Requests

Go to:

HR → Leaves → Admin Leaves

The Leave Requests page displays all submitted leave requests, including:

  • Employee

  • Leave Type

  • Leave Dates

  • Number of Days

  • Status

  • Reason

Use the available filters to quickly locate requests by:

  • Employee

  • Status

  • Date Range


Reviewing a Leave Request

Locate the leave request in the list.

Review:

  • Employee

  • Leave Dates

  • Leave Type

  • Number of Leave Days

  • Reason provided by the employee

This information helps determine whether the leave should be approved or rejected.


Approving a Leave Request

  1. Locate the leave request.

  2. Open the Actions menu.

  3. Click Approve.

  4. Confirm the approval.

Once approved:

  • The leave status changes to Approved.

  • The leave is reflected in attendance and leave records.

  • The employee can see the updated status from HR → Leaves → Employee Leaves.


Rejecting a Leave Request

  1. Locate the leave request.

  2. Open the Actions menu.

  3. Click Reject.

  4. Optionally provide a reason.

  5. Confirm the rejection.

The leave request status changes to Rejected.


Leave Statuses

Employee leave requests can have one of the following statuses:

  • Pending

  • Approved

  • Rejected

  • Cancelled

Managers can filter requests by status to quickly review outstanding applications.


Best Practices

  • Review leave requests promptly to assist with workforce planning.

  • Consider existing approved leave before approving new requests.

  • Reject requests with an explanation where appropriate to help employees understand the decision.

  • Regularly review pending requests to ensure they are processed in a timely manner.
