Sending Payment Links to Customers
IsleBooks POS allows customers to securely pay their outstanding invoices online without visiting your business.
There are two ways to share payment links with customers.
Option 1 — Send an Individual Invoice
Use this option when you want a customer to pay a specific invoice only.
Copy Invoice URL
Go to Sales → Sales.
Locate the invoice.
Right-click the invoice or click Actions.
Select Copy Invoice URL.
Send the copied link to your customer using email, SMS, or any messaging platform.
The customer will only be able to view and pay that specific invoice.
Send Directly via WhatsApp
If the customer has a WhatsApp number saved in their contact profile:
Go to Sales → Sales.
Right-click the invoice or click Actions.
Select Send via WhatsApp.
IsleBooks automatically opens WhatsApp with the invoice payment link ready to send to the customer.
Option 2 — Send the Customer Portal
Instead of sending individual invoices, you can send customers their personal payment portal.
Generate a Customer Portal Link
Go to People → Customers.
Right-click the customer or click Actions.
Select Generate Payment Link.
Share the generated link with the customer.
Customer Portal
The Customer Portal allows customers to:
View all unpaid invoices.
View paid invoice history.
Download invoices.
Pay one or multiple invoices online.
Submit bank transfer payment confirmations (if enabled).
Unlike an individual invoice link, the Customer Portal is designed for ongoing customers with multiple invoices.
Which Option Should I Use?
Individual Invoice Link
Best when:
Sending a single invoice.
One-time customers.
Requesting payment for a specific sale.
Customer Portal
Best when:
Customers purchase regularly.
Multiple invoices may be outstanding.
Customers should be able to manage and pay their own account.
Best Practices
Use Send via WhatsApp for the fastest payment requests.
Send the Customer Portal to regular customers instead of individual invoice links.
Use Copy Invoice URL if you need to share the payment link through email, SMS, Telegram, or any other messaging platform.
Ensure your payment methods and bank accounts are configured correctly before sharing payment links with customers.
